1947 16’ Chris Craft Rocket

Here is a beautifully restored 1947 16’ Chris Craft Rocket for sale. The boat features a Chrysler Ace Engine, West System Bottom, 12 Volt wiring and dual battery system. Boat is very clean, and owner has always stored the boat on its trailer indoors when not in use.

A cool fact about the Chris Craft Rocket is that it was the first non war utility model designed and built secretly during World War II in a backroom at the Holland plant by Christopher Smiths grandson, the boat was then smuggled over to Detroit area inside a war commissioned U boat and was test driven. After World War II ended the Rocket was put into production as Chris Craft’s first post war runabout.
